Wendy Hilliard has got to be one of the selfless people I have ever had the pleasure to know. To begin with, the number of children she and her husband have provided with anonymous scholarships over the years to our local Christian school is simply staggering. And when the economy prohibited giving on that level, she shifted focus and threw herself into giving of her time, energy and talents. She has assisted families in finding housing. She is part of a massive ministry for helping children. She does enormous amounts of photography and instead of pay, asks that the money be “paid forward.” She assists at any and every service ministry sent her way in this town. She has proudly and successfully raised a family known to all in this town as carrying on her mission of doing unto others in the hopes that they would do the same.
