Al Weir was a New York policeman who responded to the 9/11 disaster. He moved to Delaware and is very active in various civic and veterans groups. He is an active Disaster Response American Red Cross volunteer in Sussex County, Delaware. He also responds to other areas in the state. Mr. Weir decided to volunteer with the Red Cross because he saw the help we gave to others after the 9/11 disaster. He truly deserves this – for both his work in New York and his help to others in Delaware!
