I would like to honor my dad, my friend, a true local hero and do-it -yourself kind of guy, Jim Ciman. A fireman at the Danvers Fire Department and career military man, Jim served overseas in 2005 in Iraq with the Navy Seabees. Most recently, Jim has signed on with the National Guard Reserves and also volunteers his time with local veterans’ organizations and Operation Troop Support. He is an outstanding citizen and family man, dedicated to his 1832 home restoration project, outdoor hobbies and traditional hard-working spirit all around. Whether it be big or small, Jim would drop whatever he was doing to assist family, friends and even strangers in need.
