SGT GREG MURPHY
(Nominated by Nine Year Old Connor Osbourne)
Ocoee Community Center
February 19, 2011
My uncle, Greg Murphy, served 18 and half years in the Army. Uncle went to combat for this country on several times for the freedom for all us. He loves this country and proved it by going to war. He still volunteers for any obligation that he can fill to assist the community and his country. In addition, he is trying to go back to the Army to serve this country again. Presently, he works at Gotha Middle School as a Social Studies Teacher and a cross country coach. He also works with kids at the YMCA. He teaches the students to respect their rights and to be a better person. My uncle has taught me many things and has taught me to fight for the freedom of this country. When I get older I want to go to West Point and do what my uncle has done. This is why he deserves to stitch the 9/11 Flag.
