I am nominating Samuel Rodriguez based on his years of dedicated service to the Honolulu Police Department and the U.S. Naval Reserves.  Sam is a 23 year veteran of HPD who has served in patrol and at the airport.  In 1997 he received the silver medal of valor for risking his life to prevent a male from committing suicide.  Currently he is assigned as a lieutenant and commander at the Fusion Center. He has also served six years of active duty in the U.S. Navy and 24 in the Naval Reserves.  There, he is a Chief Warrrant Officer 4 assigned to the Force Protection Anti-Terrorism Unit.   I nominate him based on years of meritorious service to the city of Honolulu and the United States of America.
