JOSHUA WEGE
(Nominated by Paul Wm. Osterholm, Lisa McArthur and Jeremy Thiesfeldt)
Marian University Campus
October 23, 2010

Approximately one year ago, a convoy in which Josh was riding hit a roadside bomb.  Josh had to have both feet amputated, leaving approx. 6 inches below each knee. Josh has such a strong will and sense of determination and did not let this bring him down or deter him from exceeding every goal and deadline set for him. He is now competing in marathons and wants to continue to help serve his country in whatever capacity possible. He is such a great example of not letting a situation get you down and loves his country so very much. He has been through countless surgeries and always comes out with a positive outlook and feels thankful to be alive. He has so much to give back and shines as an example of the US Marines. He would truly feel honored to be able to stitch the National 9/11 Flag and would be an exemplary representative of the Marines, Wisconsin, and most importantly, a proud citizen of the United States.  Representing Joshua is his father, David (pictured)
