Jennifer was medically retired from the Navy. She now works at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. She always takes the time to make the Veterans we serve here feel like the true heroes they are. She gets to know them and their families. She is also working with our facility to establish a partnership with Paws for Vets where service dogs would be trained and given to our Veterans with service- connected disabilities. If this were not enough, she is also an active member of the Washington County Maryland Volunteer Fire Department and of the First Response Team. Jennifer has served her country and community everyday. It is my belief that her service should be recognized as we remember the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Her life in many ways has been shaped by those events. Her choice has always been to serve.
