Herb Kinnan served in WW II with the 30th Infantry Division on battlegrounds in northern France, Belgium, and Central Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge, until he was severely wounded.  He was awarded numerous medals, including the Bronze Star, and Purple Heart.  He was recently awarded honorary citizenship of the city of Voeren, Belgium for service in the liberation of that city from German forces.  At 87 as a resident of Titusville, Florida, Herb remains active in serving his church, providing assistance to local homeless veterans, and participating in the local Brevard County Alzheimer’s chapter.  In November, he participated in the first Brevard County Honor Flight Program which flies WW II Veterans to Washington, DC to see the WW II Memorial and Arlington Cemetery.  It would be an honor to include this WWII wounded veteran as part of this historic event.
