My brother is a volunteer firefighter for the Sun Prairie Volunteer Fire Department.  During his five years in the department and at the young age of 22, he has proven his dedication to serving the community by completing several training courses, having one of the highest attendance rates for fire call response, and saving countless accident victims.  Last year, as part of a search and rescue mission in a downtown apartment building fire, he rescued an elderly woman. He is the youngest firefighter in his department to have accomplished this highly-respected duty.  He is an inspiration in the community and in our family.  He is my motivation for becoming a more productive volunteer in the Fond du Lac and Sun Prairie communities in order to make a difference in the world.  He is my and my son’s hero.  I am honored to call him my brother and friend.
