Corporal Neal Thomas of the Arkansas State Police has served his Country for the past 20 years. He served 18 years with Company C, 1st Battalion, 39th Infantry Brigade, and two years with Company A, 1st Battalion, 39th Infantry Brigade. Neal retired as a First Sergeant with Company A in July of 2010. His tours of duty include:
Operation Southern Watch in Kuwait 1999-2000
Operation Iraqi Freedom 2004-2005 and
Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2008.
Awarded: Bronze Star for valor in battle
Bronze Star for service in a combat theater
Purple Heart for wounds received in action
Army Commendation Medal for valor in battle
Combat Infantry Badge
Corporal Thomas has been with the Arkansas State Police for 15 years.
