My son, Greg, is an educator. He has taught Special Education, coached, has been the Athletic Director, an Assistant Principal, and a Principal. This year the local board of education decided to close the 144 year-old institution where he was the principal. It has been a trying year for him with his efforts to convince them to leave the school open and then efforts to turn the school into a charter school all to no avail.
