Tory “Spike” Myers is an Apache pilot in the army. He retired after 20 years service. He had been retired for 8 years when the President started talking about the wave he was going to send to Afghanistan. Spike signed up for 2 more years active duty knowing he would be deploying to Afghanistan He just returned from his year in Afghanistan on 26 July. He received many medals awards while there, among them the coveted Distinguished Flying Cross.
