RONALD J. KILEY
(Nominated by Tracy Koslowski)
Centennial Hall, University of Arizona
July 8, 2011

I am nominating my father, Ron Kiley, who is a retired Firefighter with the Fire Department of New York (FDNY). Even though my father retired many years ago, he lost friends and co-workers that fateful day of September 11, 2001. My father is a hero to me and my family and we know that this would be such an honor for him to be a part of. My father’s father was also a firefighter and I myself have followed in their footsteps. Being members of the fire service family has been a privilege to us all and we are very grateful for everything that the fire department has done and meant to our family. My dad is a shining example of what FDNY is all about…strength, comradery and the willingness to help others.  (Pictured: Tracy stitching for Ron)
