Sandra is very active in her community and has a very service oriented attitude. She likes to help “because it’s fun!” She has served as a volunteer for a number of organizations including the Red Cross, United Way, Easter Seals camps and the Nebraska Spina Bifida organization. She has often played a key role in local lodge fundraisers to benefit local groups such as the Open Door Mission, Sienna Francis House and Wakonda Schools. At work, she is always involved in community activities and usually leads our department service projects. Sandra’s caring attitude towards people and her desire and actions to make the world a better place make her one of my Local Heroes.
