Tyrel is a National Honors Society student and Eagle Scout. He has been active with the Boy Scouts including many service projects. He attended the Mid-America Council’s Pahuk Pride National Youth Leadership Training camp and will be serving his third year on staff for the camp in June, helping other scouts hone their leadership skills. He has been a driving force in the development of a new Venturing Crew, Crew 1776, which has been designated as an Honor Unit for the Goldenrod District.

Tyrel has been active with the church, assisting with audio/visual during services. He previously spent two years running sound for a local Christian rock band for their performances at churches, youth gatherings and homeless shelters. He has been active in school as a leader in Arlington’s Skills USA Chapter. He recently won 1st place at the Skills USA Nebraska State conference in the FireFighting competition. Tyrel hopes to be one of the first to join a new Cadet program being developed by the Blair, NE Volunteer Fire Department.
