DANTE GRASSI
(Nominated by Bernie Sweeney)
Connecticut’s Old State House
June 14, 2011

Dante Grassi is a 100% service-connected disabled Vietnam Veteran! Mr. Grassi has given of himself in helping other Vietnam Veterans start a business in Connecticut. He was a leader in putting together a web page for Connecticut Veterans to better assist them in obtaining information on a wide variety of areas: loans, medical assistance, financial aid and education assistance. Because of Mr. Grassi’s community involvement, hundreds of disabled Connecticut Veterans have been helped by such federal agencies as the U.S. Small Business Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Veterans Administration and too-many-to-name social service agencies in Connecticut. Mr. Grassi is my nomination as a Hero to be considered to stitch the American 9/11 flag.
