Theresa Inouye is the mother of Army SGT Deyson K. Cariaga of Honolulu, Hawaii who was killed in action. On July 8, 2005, the Humvee in which he was riding struck a land mine. Cariaga was assigned to the Hawaii Army National Guard’s 229th Military Intelligence Company, 29th Brigade Combat Team. SGT Cariaga was 20 years old.
